Origin Story

 

It was a dark and starry night in DT Toronto. Chef Tony of The Fishing Panda and I were on the prowl for a patio and a nice, cold beer to compliment our trip.

We took a left, left, left, right it was ruthless, then we came across the perfect patio, it was roofless! We ordered our drinks and checked out the menu and I tried to pronounce one of the share plates in the venue…

Well Mr. Ly thought it was the funniest thing ever hearing me try to pronounce “charcuterie” that night. The drinks came and shortly after the board shows up, (this being the first charcuterie experience I have ever had). So the board is there and I’m checking it out, Tony is telling me to pair items on the board and taste them and I’m absolutely amazed.

Next thing you know, we’re back home and I’m dying for more charcuterie so Tony and I have some drinks and make a few boards up, post the pics to Facebook and people thought they looked amazing so, subsequently shipping boxes begin arriving, orders are being taken and these days I’m getting paid to play with peoples food and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!!
